About the Foundation

Our Mission

The QCAACC-Foundation was established in 2022 as a 501(c)(3) organization under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code (IRC). Its mission is to provide financial assistance to African American businesses located and/or operating in Kane, Kendall, DuPage, and Will counties in Illinois. Through the QCAACC-Foundation Grant Fund, grants of up to $5,500 can be awarded to eligible African American businesses within these counties. The funds may be utilized by brick-and-mortar businesses to cover overdue rent, utilities, outstanding debts to vendors, licensing fees, and other immediate operational costs incurred due to unforeseen circumstances. Additionally, businesses may request support for purchasing equipment and necessary materials aimed at expanding their operations.

Grant Fund Eligibility

To qualify for a QCAACC-Foundation grant, businesses must meet the following criteria:

  • 1Business must have been in operations for 3 or more years
  • 2Business must have 5 or fewer full-time employees
  • 3Business must be unable to secure assistance from the SBA or other assistance programs
  • 4Non-profit or religious organizations are not eligible
  • 5Home-based businesses are not eligible
